What to Expect During Your Body Sculpting Session

Body Under Construction

I want to make sure that you are getting the most out of your time on the table. I understand an appreciate the investment you are making in yourself, so these sessions are designed to make sure that I am doing everything I can to help you not only gain the fastest results possible, but to also provide a comfortable, spa-like experience. Here is what to expect from a typical session, start to finish. Keep in mind that from time to time we may stray from this general outline, but that is only because each session is custom tailored to where you are on your journey, your current progress in your sessions and frankly, how you are feeling that day. These are all things that factor into a successful session.

My Services:

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Certified in MLD)

  • Laser Liposuction

  • Radio Frequency Therapy

  • Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation

  • Vacuum Therapy

What to Expect: Navigating a typical body sculpting session

Each session starts with measurements and pictures. I like to document your progress in real time, so that you can see your transformation as it's happening. We will briefly discuss what your goals for the day are, how you are feeling, etc. If this is your first session with me, you will fill out paperwork and we will take our time to discuss in depth what you are wanting to get out of your sessions and what I will do to help you accomplish that. Depending on the area that we are working on, time spent with each modality can vary and sessions can last anywhere from a half an hour to 2 hours.

After measurements and pictures, you will be asked to get comfortable on the table. Anything you need will be provided. Pillows, heat, a bolster for your legs, etc. You just let me know what you need for maximum comfort and I will be happy to accommodate.

Once you are situated, I will begin treatment. I will start with some light, manual lymphatic massage. This will help wake up your lymph system so that we may have an easier time moving things out as they break down. I am certified in lymphatic massage as an LMT. ONLY LMT's can perform this modality.

I will then proceed with a quick session of radio frequency. This will bring some heat to the situation to help start soften hard fat tissue. Depending on the area, this may or may not always be the first step. If you would like to know more about radio frequency and how it works, please read here

After that, we will move on to the laser lipo. This is realistically the most boring, but most relaxing part of the session. I will secure the paddles to the area being treated an let them do their thing for about 15 - 20 minutes. A lot of times, clients use this moment to doze off or just spend the time relaxing. I am happy to hang out and chat or just let you drift in a quiet space. I will not leave the room while the treatment is being administered, however. If you would like to know more about laser lipo and how it works, please read here

Once we have completed the laser lipo, we will then move on to ultrasonic fat cavitation. This is where the noticeable breakdown of fat starts to happen. You will experience the audible effects of this particular treatment while it's happening, but don't worry. This treatment is safe, and you should not experience any lingering effects. If you would like to know more about fat cavitation and how it works, please read here

Then we will move back to radio frequency. Radio frequency helps with skin tightening and collagen production, so it is an important step after we have broken down the targeted fatty tissue. We will spend a little more time with RF this time around before moving on to the final steps.

Now that we have broken down some of the fatty tissue, it's time to move the waste out of the treatment area. I will use vacuum therapy to facilitate the movement of lymph fluid out to it's designated drainage areas. Think about massage cupping. This is really similar, employs the same concepts, but is not static. Meaning, that the vacuum continuously moves to help drain the treatment area. If you would like to know more about vacuum therapy and how it works, please read here.

Vacuum therapy concludes the treatment portion of your session. I will then take the after pictures and measurements. This will be documented as well and you will be able to take this information home with you when you leave each session.
